As part of our ongoing efforts to create value for our clients and help them lead through innovation, the leaders of Balanced Growth facilitated a site visit to Kansas City’s innovation communities. Joining us, were Dave Keith, Chief Operating Officer and Tim Hall, Executive Vice President of the American Enterprise Group (AEG), a Des Moines based insurance company. The AEG is seeking to become a leader as an innovator in the Fintech and Insurtech space.

We met with many of the major innovation leaders in the Kansas City area, including: KCSourceLink, Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, the Sprint Accelerator, KC Tech Council, the Cerner Corporation, St. Luke’s Health System, Missouri Partnership, the Kansas City Area Development Council, and the Economic Development Corp. of Kansas City.

Kansas City is emerging as a leader in developing incubators, innovation communities, business accelerators, and financing capabilities. Jason Bordui, Founder and President of Balanced Growth, had this to say about the visit: “The Kansas City innovation communities are well developed and highly collaborative. Our client, the AEG, is seeking to partner with leading innovation communities in order to accelerate their own capabilities in this area. The leadership we met with were fantastic hosts and showcased the fact that Kansas City has the potential to be an excellent geographic area for organizations like the AEG.”
